Descripción
The Otto Link Super Tone Master is one of the defining metal mouthpieces in saxophone history, carrying the iconic Otto Link sound made famous by players such as Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz, Sonny Rollins, Sonny Stitt, Charlie Rouse, Zoot Sims, Hank Mobley, and many more.
It’s a mouthpiece built for what players mean when they say “classic Link”: a thick, resonant core, a powerful low end, and a response that can move from intimate warmth to commanding projection without losing its identity.
The Super Tone Master has always been the standard because it doesn’t force the player into a narrow lane. It gives you a center, a foundation, and the room to shape. It can be velvety and lyrical, or it can be bold and direct. That flexibility is why it has remained the metal Link so many players come back to, decade after decade.
In this new chapter and in partnership with Theo Wanne Mouthpieces, the Super Tone Master is being executed with the discipline its legacy deserves.
Otto Link metal mouthpieces are now produced from a single piece of brass rather than two joined halves, allowing tighter control over internal geometry and dimensional consistency. Extensive R&D and validation confirmed that while metallurgical differences between construction methods are subtle, they are not significant enough to change the playing experience in a meaningful, player-detectable way. What does change is the repeatability and reliability of the outcome.
So the Super Tone Master you pick up is far more likely to deliver what the name promises: that iconic Link voice, with modern confidence.
