A New Breed of Multi-tom Stick
When it comes to marching percussion, leading percussionist and educator Paul Rennick is among the industry’s brightest minds. Through collaborating with Innovative Percussion, he’s addressed two types of sticks for marching snares. With the TS-PR, now he’s turned his attention to the multi-tom stick. Designed to be “a stick that feels like a mallet,” the TS-PR balances the power of traditional sticks with the articulation of mallets. As a result, these sticks help multi-toms (sometimes known as “quads”) cut straight through the arrangement instead of being drowned out by the snare and bass. These sticks have a latex sleeve on the butt end of extra sonic options; even when you flip it over, it still feels balanced like a standard drumstick.
